Field studies and ongoing collaborative research efforts have shown that there is significant potential for application of M.E.L.T in the area of psychological diagnostics- particularly for the detection and management of anxiety and stress disorders. A number of psychologists in several countries have already used M.E.L.T to aid in diagnosis and therapeutic planning, and in some cases, as part of various treatment modalities. These areas include: Cognitive behavioral therapy, Correctional facilities, Industrial psychology, Stress and Pain disorders.
